Bonnie Eye Update
Feb. 3rd, 2022 05:36 pmTwo weeks ago, Bonnie took the option of not having a SHOT IN THE EYE and coming in more often for monitoring. Yesterday she went in for this.
The swelling in the retina was back. Her vision worse. She had to have another SHOT IN THE EYE. She also had a round of laser surgery to thin out peripheral vessels in her retina to reduce the fluid production that leads to the swelling. This was mostly in areas that were already lost to glaucoma.
Retinal laser surgery is not painless. For the next couple of hours she said her eye felt like a ball of fire. Today she is feeling much better. The discomfort is mostly gone, but having the anticipation of the visit behind her is a big factor in feeling better. She could see some improvement over the next few days. She goes back seven weeks.
